Well, Olivia enjoyed her first Christmas! We spend several days at Gramdma and GG's and on Christmas Day traveled to see Nana and Papa. She wasn't much into unwrapping presents but she loved to pull out the tissue paper and play with bows. Her favorite toys were her Laugh and Learn Kitchen, Laugh and Learn Cookie Jar and her doll carriage walker. We put a few of her toys in the basement for a while until she gets bored of the others...keep it fresh. Olivia continues to be obsessed with Christmas trees and lights; whenever you say "tree" she looks at it, points and smiles. We have to go to it every day to look at the pretties on it.
Olivia still will only say "dada" even though we practice "mama" every five minutes. She will get in arguing matches with us assuring us it is "dada!" She has learned to sign "eat" and "smart" recently and continue to sign "more" and "milk." She even points to things when you ask where they are. She loves to take her doll carriage for strolls around the house and is getting closer to walking. This evening I helped her up and she stayed up on her own for a few second before "going boom." I am totally not ready for this mobility. She loves getting into kitchen cabinets/drawers and has smashed her fingers a few times, but that doesn't seem to stop her from going right back to them. We finally got a few locks to put on the cabinets with the cleaners and the ones with our crystal. She is quite the little explorer. Baby gates are soon on their way!
Happy New Year to all!

This is better than presents!
